Nebraska agencies do regulate some aspects of bioscience industry. Bio Nebraska encourages its members to seek the advice of their professional counsel regarding the specific rules and regulations which might be applicable to their organization's activities. Economic Development

The mission of Bio Nebraska Life Sciences Association is to promote academic, industry, and government collaboration leading to the establishment and growth of research, development, and commercialization of bioscience technology within Nebraska, generating economic development for the state and creating quality jobs and opportunities for its citizens. Simply, Bio Nebraska is about economic development.

The mission of the Nebraska Department of Economic Development is to develop economic opportunities by keeping Nebraska businesses, communities, and people globally competitive. The Nebraska Department of Economic Development and Bio Nebraska have a strong working relationship that focuses on growing the life science industry and the industry's supporting providers in the state. Many of the efforts of the Nebraska Department of Economic Development, such as tax incentive programs, can be seen at www.neded.org.
