New Executive Team to Provide Leadership for Bio Nebraska (Omaha, NE; September 15, 2011) – Bio Nebraska Life Sciences Association announces the executive board’s decision to appoint Phil Kozera and Kendra Wilson as executive director and assistant executive director, respectively, to augment the depth and breadth of Bio Nebraska’s capabilities and expand its representation throughout the state. Kozera and Wilson will manage the organization and utilize SCORR Marketing’s specialized marketing expertise in the life science and bioscience industries beginning September 16, 2011. Kozera was appointed as chief operating officer of SCORR Marketing in August 2010. He was appointed by SCORR Marketing to manage the growth of the company and will bring his high-caliber skill set to Bio Nebraska as the executive director. Kozera has spent the last year immersed in the bioscience industry and brings a strong background in marketing and strategic planning. Wilson was hired by SCORR Marketing earlier this year as an account coordinator and has focused her work on global life science clients, which will be an asset in the Bio Nebraska assistant executive director position. “This change in leadership presents an opportunity for Bio Nebraska to add depth to our staff and expand our geographic footprint within the state,” said Jim McClurg, Bio Nebraska executive board chairman. Bio Nebraska serves as an advocate and resource for the Nebraska biosciences industry, which includes agricultural feedstock and chemicals; drugs and pharmaceuticals; medical devices and equipment; and research, testing and medical laboratories. The company provides the opportunity for partnerships with biosciences companies, as these organizations are rapidly growing within the state of Nebraska. “It is vitally important for the state of Nebraska to have a leader and advocate within this industry,” stated McClurg. “With the rapid growth rate of the biosciences industry within the state during the past few years, a centralized resource and partner is just what companies need to keep them abreast of current issues and ensure a successful business.”
