Lincoln Science Café

A Science Café will be held at Red9, 322 S. 9th Street in Lincoln. Mellissa Hilligso, a forensic DNA analyst at UNMC will discuss “CSI: The Fact Behind the Fiction”. Ms. Helligso received her bachelor’s degree in medical technology from UNMC and will receive her master’s of forensic science from Nebraska Wesleyan University in December 2009. She has more than 10 years of experience in performing forensic DNA testing for hundreds of criminal cases in Omaha and the surrounding areas, including the Christopher Edwards case, in which she testified to her DNA analysis regarding the disappearance and murder of Jessica O’Grady.
