Bio Nebraska and Creighton University’s Professional Science Master’s Program to Host CU at Lunch
(February 16, 2010; Omaha, NE) – Bio Nebraska Life Sciences Association and Creighton University’s Professional Science Master’s program will co-host CU at Lunch at Creighton University’s Harper Center on Friday, March 5, 2010, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. The lunch event is the third in a series that features speakers on current topics in the biosciences industry. March’s speaker will be Carol Geary, president and owner of Platinum Consulting, Inc. in Omaha. The discussion will be on in-licensing and how to obtain reimbursements for new devices and drugs. Ms. Geary obtained her MBA and BSN from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. She has worked for Ethicon, a Johnson and Johnson company, and Coopers and Lybrand, LLC. With Platinum Consulting, Ms. Geary educates companies on the US reimbursement systems and on strategic and tactical reimbursements of their products. Creighton’s Professional Science Master’s (PSM) program in Bioscience Management is a 15-month, executive-style weekend program that combines bioscience, business and law. One of the first of its kind in the US and unique in the Midwest, all courses are custom-designed for those currently in or seeking careers in a variety of bioscience business contexts. The deadline to apply for Creighton’s 2010 program is March 1, 2010. Creighton University is expected to launch a new joint PSM/MBA program with the 2010 class beginning in June.
